Top Mountain – Motocycle Museum Timmelsjoch – R.I.P. – Tribiute

Das Timmelsjoch mit der Passtraße gen Italien allein ist schon eine besondere Beschreibung wert. Egal, ob man nun die Anfahrt über das gut belebte Ötztal oder über die deutlich engere Auffahrt durch das Passeiertal aus Richtung St. Leonhard wählt, die schneebedeckten Gipfel tun ihr übriges und so ist diese Tour immer ein besonderes Erlebnis. Sölden, Ober- und Hochgurgl als Berg und Skiparadies tun ihr übriges dazu. Also die ideale Kulisse für den Top Mountain Ressort eine Mischung aus mondäner Mautstation, Raststätte und Skistation, die 2016 eröffnet wurde. Und dann kommt noch das Motocycle Museum dazu eine beeindruckende Sammlung von historischen Motorrädern, Sportwagen und alpiner Nutzfahrzeuge. Eine einmalige Sammlung, der Brüder Alban und Attila Scheiber, die man in Kombination mit einer ausgiebigen Kaffeepause genießen konnte, obwohl sie sicherlich viel .. viel .. viel .. mehr Zeit verdient hätte.

Denn dieses Museum ist leider am 18. Jan. 2021 einem Brand zum Opfer gefallen. Allein die Bilder des brennenden Gebäudes treffen ins Herz. Wenn man die Ruinen mit den verkohlten Exponaten sieht, dämmert einem das Ausmaß eines Schadens, der nie und nimmer ersetzbar ist. Ich hatte das Glück und mir das Museum 2017 angesehen und viele der einmaligen Motorräder und Fahrzeuge digital festgehalten.

Hier mein Tribitute für diese einmalige Location, die hoffentlich in einer ähnlichen Form wieder hergestellt wird.In den nächsten Tagen werden die Bildbeschreibungen ergänzt!
